I’m Dan Llewellyn, a Byron Bay-based commercial drone pilot, camera operator and film industry grip.
With more than 20 years’ experience across television, commercials and film, and over 1,000 hours of commercial flight time (CASA-certified, with ReOC & AROC credentials), I bring the knowledge & production experience of high-end film sets directly to businesses and brands — through simple, affordable packages that make professional film accessible without the big production price tag.
Working behind the scenes on major productions has taught me how to tell stories visually, work quickly and efficiently, solve problems on the fly and get the most out of every shoot.

CASA Remote Pilot: Holds a Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Remote Pilot Licence (RePL), Remote Operator's Certificate (ReOC), and Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC), with over 1,000 logged commercial flight hours and ongoing training toward heavy-lift platform certifications.
Film & Television Grip: Professional film industry grip with extensive experience across feature films, television, and commercial productions. Specialises in shaping, rigging, and securing camera support equipment—from dollies and cranes to specialized vehicle and remote rigs—ensuring safe, stable, and precise camera movement on set.
Maritime & Offshore Experience: Experienced skipper holding an Offshore Day Skipper licence and an RYA Powerboat Level 2 commercial endorsement, backed by over 10,000 blue water sea miles sailing across the globe.
Aviation & Safety Background: Over two decades in sports aviation as a skydiving instructor, drop zone safety officer, and freefall cinematographer, with 5,000+ logged skydives.
Logistics & Transport: Holds an Australian Heavy Rigid (HR) truck driver licence for complex remote production and equipment transport.
